A Day in the Life:

The Vehicle Inspector role will inspect all newly arriving and end of term (EOT) vehicles for damage, missing parts, and mechanical problems.  After inspection, they submit required electronic vehicle inspection reports, and perform all additional duties as assigned by the Inspection Manager (outlined below).

  • Complete thorough vehicle inspections by obtaining an accurate assessment of the vehicle in the form of a detailed and well-written report and taking pictures of visible damage on the vehicle.
  • Ensures vehicles meet acceptable standards by understanding, enforcing and facilitating the specific programs, rules and guidelines as established by customers (i.e. Ford)
  • Other duties as assigned

    Educational Experience Requirements

  • Automotive knowledge a definite asset
  • Valid driver's license and be able to drive all types of vehicles (manual & standard)
  • Good vision and manual dexterity
  • Excellent reading skills and legible writing skills as well as the ability to make sound decisions and exercise common sense
  • Must be willing to work in various weather conditions
  • Must be a team player
  • Reliability, punctuality and dependability are essential
