Job Description

IAA is seeking a Security Coordinator who responds to security camera and access control related requests for field and corporate offices. This position follows policy to assign building access to personnel at four office locations and supports over 160 locations with security camera systems. The Security Coordinator identifies and analyzes problems and engages in minor technical troubleshooting to find solutions when security cameras are not performing properly.

Job Duties/Responsibilities Include:

  • Export video footage for branches when needed in case of break in, theft, or employee related issue
  • Promptly respond to camera and/or encoder outages over potential 3,000 plus security cameras across organization, troubleshoot, and find solution; coordinating with Network Ops and equipment repair company as needed
  • Meet with vendors and manufacturers to gain knowledge in access control systems
  • Travel to locations for surveys and implementation of access control and camera systems
  • Maintain access control systems; issue, renew and/or de-activate key cards for corporate offices
  • Coordinate with monitoring company to reduce false alarms by adjusting the cameras “region of interest”, adjusting arm times with the manager, and ensuring authorized activity is being called in ahead of time
  • Follow up with branches regarding electric fences not being armed or alarmed
  • Participate on projects that enhance company security and reduce financial and safety risk to company and employees

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to function well as part of security team
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment prioritizing multiple needs at a time
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels of organization and employees with little IT knowledge 
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot
  • Customer service, multi-tasking, organizational and prioritization skills are essential
  • Knowledge of Excel and Outlook 

Educational Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Education Experience: Bachelor's Level Degree 
  • Years of Related Experience: 1-2 Years
  • License/Certificate Required: No
  • Driver's License Required: Yes
  • Travel Requirements: 25%
  • Age Requirement: 18+

Preferred Skills: 

  • Office 365 knowledge 
  • IT background
