Job Summary: Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Sales Administrator will perform various administrative and operational duties relating to the business and the continuity of the sales strategy. Assist the sales team in servicing dealer relationships, development of new business, retention of existing business and any other duties and responsibilities required. Perform all duties assigned by the Sales Manager or designate.

The ADESA Sales Admin acts as a tactical partner to the Sales Team, building and maintaining relationships with them in order to grow both their business and ours. You will assist outside and inside sales reps in servicing dealer relationships, developing new business and retaining existing business. You will also educate clients on new and existing services from the company’s portfolio that meet the client’s individual business needs. We provide the training, technology and tools; you use your personality and perseverance to meet sales volume goals and succeed.

Responsibilities & Duties

•         Performs moderately complex clerical and numerical processing activities of a clerical nature including selecting, compiling, verifying and processing data

•         Discrepancy investigation and communicating same to appropriate personnel in a timely manner

•         Electronically or manually enters moderately complex reports and processes data

•         Coordinates, compiles and disseminates the auction run lists

•         Maintain current customers and act as liaison for outside and inside sales representatives, consignment dealers and auction personnel.

•         Manages all cheques for sellers and works to ensure all accounts receivable are in order

•         Is continually updating and providing best possible information to ensure Market Guide is relevant

•         Manages post sale issues and works with inside and outside sales staff on If bids

•         Build strong ADESA customer relationships through training, education and awareness to match the customer’s needs to the product offerings.

•         Navigate and educate customers on all aspects of ADESA.

•         Properly use and navigate ADESA’s CRM to log calls, run reports, and view dashboards.

•         Monitor all local competition and recommend competitive strategies to supervisor.

•         Communicate with all departments to ensure proper marketing of sale inventory and maximize vehicle exposure for sale.

•         Perform sale day duties such as customer service, auction representation and post-sale reporting.

Educational Requirements & Qualifications

•         High school diploma/GED required.

•         A minimum of three (3) years of administration, sales, account management and/or customer service experience preferred.

•         Prior experience with sales and sales management tracking databases, such as, with emphasis on accurate documentation is preferred.

•         Previous auction experience preferred. Automotive background is helpful.

•         Consultative selling and closing skills or the aptitude to learn these skills.

•         Strong computer ability with basic knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook.

•         Highly articulate and persuasive verbal, written communication and listening skills.

•         Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.
